suite scarlett - maureen johnson
Maureen Johnson's books are some of the best light reading around at the moment. For me, at least. They read very smoothly, are funny and sweet, and I love how her characters don't conform to stereotype at all. The ditzy, make-up knowledgeable sister in Suite Scarlett turns out to be really nice, for instance, and her airhead rich boyfriend is a mensch, too. Can't wait for the rest of the series.
