A re-read, and I think I loved Spin even more the second time around, since I didn't just gulp it all down in one big Gatwick-Airport-stuckness slurp, but in nice, civilised installments.
Each night when I put our (now dead) cat to bed in the shed (don't hate me) I used to look up at the sky and think about the hugeness of this book. That's not a mean feat, staying this much in my thoughts when there really are quite a number of books I read. Lovely. I think I will be quite powerless to resist Axis if I see it anywhere in paperback.
