duck for cover- booklog

Flood started out really fast and interesting (rising tides! London drowning! Large cast of characters!), but it went downhill rather quickly, I'm sorry to say. Too many explainy bits and as-you-know-Bobs, and cardboard characters who couldn't for the life of them have a decent, believable conversation. So I gave up halfway through, since it wasn't getting any better. Sorry. It's probably perfect for the Dan Brown set, though, since I was starting to get the impression that it was all a huge Conspiracy Gone Horribly Wrong of some sort.
