Absolutely brilliant. The pacing, the hooks, the suspense, the characterisations: perfect and great and masterful. Buy it and read it, whatever your tastes in literature, even if you have sworn never to read another book about WW2 or English country houses again. Ian McEwan sure knows how to tell a good story and he has surpassed himself with this one.
How I want to be him when I grow up.
