Oh my, only 20.000 words left to fit a lot of story into. That's the danger of doing a Stephen King: those stories need 150.000 or 250.000 words, and they're hard to shoehorn into a smaller novel.
So far no blood and gore in the book. Or wait, yes, there has been blood, in a field-hospital sort of operation in the kitchen, but that has been off-stage, in the past. And the hedgehog was pretty gory. Other than that, I think my mission for the coming days will be to start bouncing the characters off each other (literally), and visit them with some bodily harm. Looking forward to that!
