Humming along, thoughts moving so quickly that I can hardly keep up and have to jot down madly jumping around scene-ideas, no time for actual dialogue and such at the moment. I'm reaching that magical place where I just want to write and write, and then read really good writers to see what they have come up with and how they have handled certain things.
I think that is what I love best about doing these silly books each November: the enormous respect I gain for each and every writer who is able to write a coherent book that actually goes somewhere and that succeeds in transporting me, making me forget that I am looking at a Fashioned Thing. With each edition of NaNoWriMo, I see more of the scaffolding and more of the wizards behinds their respective curtains, but I'm also so hugely proud of these brave & enterprising people who are able to conjure all of this up out of thin air. Wonderful.
Though I do get these little delusions... Like at the moment, when I really, really want to work on a Mac, on Scrivener, so I can put all of my little disjointed scenettes on virtual indexcards and move them around on my little virtual cork board. That would just solve everything. Or perhaps I should just use post-it notes?
